ISS Partners to Cut Food Waste in UK Hospitals

March 15, 2024 ISS Partners to Cut Food Waste in UK Hospitals

ISS S/A, parent company of ISS Facility Services, has entered into a strategic partnership with community-sharing app Olio.

The two organizations will work together to collect excess food from 35 National Health Service (NHS) hospitals throughout the United Kingdom. The food will then be redistributed to local families in need. The new partnership is part of ISS’s ongoing commitment to sustainable workplaces and the company’s larger net zero agenda.

“We are delighted to partner with Olio to tackle food waste and support local communities in need,” said Linda Cregan, ISS UK & Ireland food services director. “This initiative aligns with our vision of creating a positive impact for people and planet through our food services. We’re proud of the results achieved by our teams and Olio volunteers during the pilot, and we look forward to scaling up this partnership across more NHS hospitals in the future.”
