ISSA Members Saluted for Disability Hiring Initiatives
July 13, 2021Nine ISSA-member companies have been listed among the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” according to the 2021 Disability Equality Index (DEI).
In compiling the seventh-annual list, Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) surveyed more than 300 Fortune 1,000-size companies on their efforts to advance the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace. The DEI measures a wide range of criteria within six categories: culture and leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices, community engagement, supplier diversity, and non-U.S. operations.
The ISSA-affiliated organizations included in the list of the 2019 DEI Best Places to Work include:

- American Airlines Inc.
- Aramark
- Cintas Corp.
- Colgate-Palmolive Corp.
- Dow Chemical Co.
- Procter & Gamble (P&G), parent company of Procter & Gamble Professional (P&G PRO)
- Sodexo
- W. W. Grainger Inc.
