Legionnaires’ Disease Outbreak Reported in New Jersey

The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) is investigating an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in Union County, NJ.

Twenty-two cases of the disease have been confirmed in the county since March 8, including five fatalities, CNN reports. NJDOH officials are working with representatives from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to determine the source of the outbreak and remediate it.
