Microban Partners with Manchester Mills to Provide Antimicrobial Textiles

Microban International Ltd. and Manchester Mills announced they will be partnering exclusively to create antimicrobial-treated textiles for health care facilities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and European Union.

The Protect360® textile product line will have antimicrobial technology which will inhibit the growth of product-damaging bacteria. The product line will include towels, sheets, and other bedding items. The products are waterproof, feature patent-pending bed bug protection, and are made of fabric that has passed testing for viral penetration protection, which provides a barrier against viruses.

Brian Aylward, senior director of global textiles for Microban, said, “The healthcare industry is now and always will be a focus for antimicrobials where cleanliness is key.”
