Pegasus Opens New Training Facility

August 7, 2023

Pegasus Building Services opened its new custodial training center earlier this month, according to Building Services Management.

The John P. Walker Professional Development Center for Cleaning Operations is named after the founder of ManageMen. Pegasus acquired the intellectual property of ManageMen, including its (OS1) Cleaning System and Janitor University (JU) custodial training programs in February of this year. The 5,000-square-foot facility is located adjacent to the company’s headquarters in San Diego, California.

In addition to training facilities, the building also houses an extensive library curated with benchmarks, data, white papers, case studies, and presentations from the cleaning industry, as well as a media production center for the development of new educational content.

“John [Walker] was constantly asking, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if…’,” said Ben Walker, Pegasus senior director of field training and development. “There’s so much about the custodial industry that has changed in the past 30 years, but so much has stayed the same. This building will allow us to continue building premium educational content and materials for the custodial industry, building upon John’s legacy.”
