Sodexo Expands Partnership With Humane Society

Sodexo recently expanded the company’s collaboration agreement with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) to include new initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint.

Sodexo has partnered with HSUS for more than 15 years to develop responsible sourcing strategies and increase its plant-based foodservice offerings. The expanded agreement calls for Sodexo chefs to undergo plant-based menu training led by the HSUS. The new menu offerings will then be submitted for feedback by students, staff, and faculty at more than 140 universities serviced by Sodexo. The company has set an internal goal of ensuring more than 40% of its school- and university-planned menu offerings are plant-based by 2025.
