Sodexo Expands Presence in China

Sodexo has successfully completed its acquisition of Compass China Management Services Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Eurest Food Technologies Services Co. Ltd. from the Compass Group.

The deal, announced earlier this year, enhances Sodexo’s presence and service offerings in China with newly acquired contracts in the corporate, education, and healthcare markets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We are excited to consolidate our strategic position in China —a focal market for Sodexo in the region given its size and market potential,” said Isabelle Hannedouche, Sodexo managing director of Greater China. “This acquisition will enable us to further scale and drive synergies in our existing operations, with expanded, diversified, and high-quality services to Chinese clients and consumers.”
