Sodexo has been included in the top 20 of market research firm Equileap’s 2003 global ranking on gender equality.

In compiling its sixth-annual list, Equileap analyzed more than 3,700 international companies, ranking them based on criteria such as gender pay gaps, parental leave policies, and female representation. Sodexo placed 12th overall in Equileap’s global rankings after ranking 27th last year. For companies operating in France, Sodexo achieved the top spot, tied with L’Oréal S.A.

“The spirit of progress is one of our founding values, and it is a great pride for all of us to see Sodexo rank 12th in the Equileap worldwide survey this year and joint first place in France,” said Sophie Bellon, Sodexo CEO. “This distinction honors us. It testifies to our daily commitment to an inclusive company, and our determination to promote the development and fulfillment of all our employees. It also invites us to pursue our efforts: We are proud of the progress made, but aware of the road ahead of us. We remain fully engaged to continue to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, within our teams and with all our stakeholders.”
