Sofidel Expands Operations in Poland

Sofidel has opened an automated warehouse at its Ciechanów, Poland, production facility.
The 118,400-square-foot warehouse can store 32,000 pallets of goods and is designed to ensure higher efficiency and safety standards. The distribution facility uses laser-guided shuttles and self-driving trucks to automate all product handling to the loading docks of departing trucks.
The automated warehouse in Ciechanów, whose project was coordinated by Sofidel’s technical department, is the company’s second one constructed in Europe (the first being in Sweden) and the third in the world, after the one in Circleville, Ohio.
