Sofidel Saluted for Sustainability Solutions

Sofidel has been recognized by global nonprofit CDP for its commitment to fighting climate change and deforestation.

CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is recognized as a standard for corporate environmental transparency. For both ratings, Climate Change and Forests, Sofidel received A-, positioning itself above both the European average and the sector average.

“It is a major achievement for Sofidel. The measurement of environmental performance indicators, carried out by third-party and independent organizations such as CDP, is a key element of our group’s sustainability journey—a journey that we are embracing with courage and determination,” said Riccardo Balducci, Sofidel sustainability director. “Regarding the climate change, we are now working on the net zero objective by 2050, while, as for the forests, we are continuing to implement our responsible cellulose sourcing policy and our commitment to zero deforestation.”
