Study: Cost Major Influencer in Restroom Product PurchasesDecember 6, 2018
A survey of cleaning industry professionals conducted by Sofidel America Corp. at ISSA Show North America 2018 earlier this year found a majority (78 percent) considered cost when purchasing restroom paper products.
However, cost was not the only purchasing consideration. More than half of survey participants (55 percent) said they also deem softness important, and 32 percent look for quantity such as the number of sheets per roll. More than a quarter (30 percent) say a product’s durability and environmental qualities influence their purchase.
When asked about dispensers:
- Three in five professionals surveyed evaluate durability
- Fifty-seven percent consider the cost
- Thirty-three percent look for touchless dispensers
- Thirty-eight percent look for dispensers that eliminate paper waste.
