UMF Names Top Guest Room Attendant
October 22, 2020Katrina Minnis has been named the recipient of UMF Corp.’s 2020 Guest Room Attendant Excellence Award.
The inaugural award highlights the contributions of guest room attendants (GRAs) at hotel companies across the country. Minnis, an attendant at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two, including airfare, to a location of her choice within the 48 contiguous states.
“Hospitality housekeeping departments can be taken for granted, but they play an essential role in keeping hotel environments safe,” said George Clarke, UMF CEO. “We are thrilled to acknowledge their invaluable contributions with our first annual Guest Room Attendant Excellence Award. Ms. Minnis gave her time and expertise at the onset of the pandemic to ensure the highest levels of safety and wellbeing for all, especially those on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, and is the personification of GRA excellence.”
