Georgia-Pacific Completes Kentucky Factory Expansion Project

November 18, 2020

Georgia-Pacific LLC, parent company of GP PRO, has completed the expansion of its Bowling Green, Kentucky, manufacturing plant.

The US$100 million expansion, announced in May 2019, added an additional 80,000 square feet to the facility, which produces paper plates, bowls, and other Dixie® brand products. The project also expanded the plant’s truck dock and allowed Georgia-Pacific to create more than 70 full-time jobs, increasing total employment at the factory to more than 200 people.

“This investment is about our customers and consumers, and I am incredibly proud of our Bowling Green team and excited about this growth and expansion,” said David Duncan, Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Group executive vice president. “Demand is strong and growing for our Dixie plates and bowls, and this expansion will allow us to produce more of those products that are valued for their unique combination of convenience and performance.”
